This Shiny app explores player and team performance under pressure during UEFA European Championship matches using StatsBomb event data. It focuses on how pressure influences passing, ball reception, and subsequent actions. The app includes five interactive views:
Overall Pass Performance Summarises players’ pass success rates under pressure by year, team, and player, combining bar charts with supporting tables.
Passes Under Pressure Visualises the location and direction of pressured passes on a football pitch, showing completion outcomes and common passing sources.
Ball Receipts Displays where players receive the ball and colours receptions by opponent proximity, highlighting moments of high and low pressure.
Next Event Analysis Examines what actions occur immediately after a ball reception, revealing decision patterns under pressure.
Player Info Profile Provides a compact table and bar chart summarising individual player behaviour under pressure, with filters by position, team, and year.
Overall, the app allows users to interactively explore how pressure shapes on‑ball decisions, combining event-level data, pitch visualisations, and intuitive filters for exploratory football analytics.
